Hey, the sun is out. This is possibly a good thing. I'm still a little bleary.
This morning is all about cleaning floors with the vacuum and the steam mop (I <3 my steam mop, I'm just saying), and then working on cleaning out more of the garage. Have you ever had that experience of suddenly seeing how much dust and uck has seemingly appeared out of nowhere in your house? Yeah, that's me. And my garage is in a sad, sad state of accumulated dirt and grime and leaves and cobwebs and junk. I've been attacking it one small section at a time. Yesterday I tried to get more done, and swept out some of the dirt, but the wind came up from the south (sustained 25mp, gusts over 45 mph) and blew a lot of it back onto me, so that didn't work so well. It's probably why I woke up with my eyes all itchy and sore, and my nose stuffed up, and my throat tight. But, you know, I'll do better in the long run if I get rid of the dirt, so clean I will, and then I'll take a long hot shower and the good drugs.
And then...writing! I have things, things I wish to write, things I must write, and things I'm thinking about maybe writing. Also, four chapters worth of "revision notes", whatever those might be. It's so nice out today that I may be able to sit outside and do some of it. Here's hoping. Allergies or not, my brain needs sun.
And then Doctor Who. I'm so loving being excited about this show again. And about having a Saturday show once more!
In other news, I found this via friendsfriends, and as someone who crochets but doesn't knit, who sews and cross stitches and makes crappy art journals and generally knows that crafters are at LEAST as wanky as media fans, I think both the story and the comments on sf_drama are astoundingly hilarious: Hooks vs. Needles. Throwdown in the alley tonight, ladies!
